History

The Legazpi Eye Center is considered to be the premier ophthalmology center in the Bicol Region that provides a full range of specialized ophthalmic services using the best state of the art technology.

Dr. Rollo Milante, a noted cataract and refractive surgeon, established the Legazpi Eye Center in 1994 with a heart and passion to serve his fellow Bicolanos.  As the patient base increased, he invited ophthalmologists from UST, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, St. Luke’s Medical Center and the UP-Philippine General Hospital with different subspecialties to join the group practice. A new center was launched in 2005 in Legazpi City, Albay.  Steady patient base and increase in need led to expansion. This eventually brought the organization to another center in Naga City, Camarines Sur in 2010 under Bicol Access Health Centrum.

As the Legazpi Eye Center continues to grow technologically, it stays dedicated to its goal: To provide the most advanced and comprehensive eye care in the Bicol Region.
